Edward Hall Armstrong (1841-1864) entered the University in 1858, became a member of the Dialectic Society, and left in 1861. He became a captain in the Confederate army and died of wounds received at the battle of Spotsylvania Court House. His BA degree was awarded in 1911 "as of 1862."
